1.4 "Platform" refers to the Media Ride website, mobile app, or any other technological interface provided by Media Ride for accessing its services.

1.5 "Service" refers to the transportation services, bookings, payment processing, and customer support offered through Media Ride’s platform.

1.6 "Ride" refers to a transportation service provided by a Driver to a User, booked and paid for through the Media Ride platform.

1.7 "Account" refers to a registered user account created to access the Media Ride platform.

2. Eligibility

2.1 Users must be at least 18 years old to register for an account or use the services. Minors may only use the platform under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who consents to these Terms & Conditions.

2.2 Drivers must meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the Driver Agreement, including but not limited to maintaining an active driver’s license, completing background checks, and adhering to applicable insurance and vehicle standards.

2.3 Users and Drivers must provide accurate, complete, and current information when registering for an account and using the platform. Failure to do so may result in the suspension or termination of access to the platform.

3. Account Creation and Management

3.1 Users are required to create an account to access Media Ride’s services. By creating an account, you agree to provide accurate information, including your name, contact details, and payment information.

3.2 Users are responsible for safeguarding their account credentials and maintaining the confidentiality of their login information. Media Ride is not responsible for unauthorized access to accounts resulting from User negligence.

3.3 Media Ride reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts for violations of these terms, fraudulent activities, or misuse of the platform.

4. Service Terms

4.1 Ride Requests:

  • Users can request a ride through the Media Ride platform by providing accurate pickup and drop-off locations.

  • Media Ride does not guarantee the availability of Drivers at all times and locations.

4.2 Cancellation Policy:

  • Users may cancel ride requests within a specified timeframe to avoid cancellation fees. The applicable fees and time limits are outlined in the platform’s Cancellation Policy.

  • Drivers may cancel ride requests if Users are not present at the designated pickup location within a reasonable time, typically 5 minutes from arrival.

4.3 Shared Rides:

  • If offered, shared rides may involve multiple passengers and may include stops to pick up or drop off other Users.

4.4 Prohibited Activities:

  • Users and Drivers are prohibited from engaging in illegal, harmful, or abusive behavior during a ride or on the platform. Violations may result in account termination and potential legal action.

5. Payments and Fees

5.1 Payment Methods:

  • Users must provide a valid payment method to request rides. Accepted payment methods include credit cards, debit cards, and other options specified by the platform.

5.2 Fare Calculation:

  • Fares are calculated based on distance, duration, demand, and service type. Additional fees, including tolls, surcharges, and cleaning or damage fees, may apply.

  • Users will be provided with an estimated fare before confirming a ride. Final charges may vary due to route changes, traffic, or other circumstances.

5.3 Disputes and Refunds:

  • Users may dispute charges by contacting Media Ride support within 7 days of the transaction. Media Ride will review the dispute and determine if a refund is warranted.

6. Driver Obligations

6.1 Vehicle Requirements:

  • Drivers must ensure their vehicles meet safety and cleanliness standards as outlined in the Driver Agreement.

6.2 Compliance:

  • Drivers must comply with all applicable traffic and safety laws, as well as Media Ride’s operational policies.

6.3 Insurance:

  • Drivers are required to maintain personal auto insurance that meets local legal requirements.

6.4 Behavior:

  • Drivers are expected to treat Users with respect and professionalism.

7. Insurance and Liability

7.1 Media Ride Insurance Coverage:

  • Media Ride provides commercial liability insurance for rides booked through the platform, subject to local regulations.

7.2 Limitation of Liability:

  • Media Ride is not liable for delays, service disruptions, or damages arising from circumstances beyond its control, including weather, traffic, or third-party actions.

7.3 User Responsibility:

  • Users are responsible for securing personal belongings during rides. Media Ride and its Drivers are not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged items.

8. Dispute Resolution

8.1 Informal Resolution:

  • Users are encouraged to resolve disputes directly through Media Ride’s customer support.

8.2 Arbitration Agreement:

  • Disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the [Insert Arbitration Association].
